Story
Faith
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Can I know that I am saved?........ YES! Jesus Christ is God's only
provision for man's sin. Through Him alone we can know God personally
and experience God's love.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth,
and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'"
(John 14:6).
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can,
but shall be saved. In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked
Paul and Silas: "... 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' And
they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved ....' ".
His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer
can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Savior. "But
as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on His name" (John 1:12).
Can I be saved by living a good life?
NO!
Can I be saved if I promise to do better? NO!
Can I be saved by joining a church or a specific denomination?
NO!
No one can stand between you and God, or interceede
on your behalf. Anyone that claims you must go through them or anything
else is a false prophet and the truth is not in them.
For there is one GOD, and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all..
(1 Tim. 2:5) We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior
and Lord; then we can know God personally and experience His love.
We Receive Christ Through Faith: "By grace you
have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is
the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast"
(Ephesians 2:8,9).
Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self
(repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive
us of our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree
intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died
on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have
an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an
act of our will, and repentance, changing a life dedicated from
self to a life dedicated to Christ and His commands.
Why not make today the day you become a child of God,
a creature of eternal destiny? Just turn to God in faith believing
and tell Him:
"Lord, I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son,
that He died for my sins on the cross and He rose again. I want
now to take Him as my personal Savior".
